Apart from the assigned texts, it is NOT necessary for you to consult or cite any
reference material into this
essay. Just read the story as many times as you
you need to, and go through the various themes or techniques discussed
with you in Lecture 2.
Your observations should be supported by relevant examples from the texts-
examples either cited directly (= in quotation marks) or paraphrased (= in your
own words). Give your writing the typical intro-body paragraph(s)-conclusion
structure. Some of the writing skills you
have learnt from Introduction to
Academic English are applicable here.
Your assignment will be given a fail grade once any sign of plagiarism or
generative AI is detected.
